SNL Thinks Jeff Dunham’s Act From 1998 Wouldn’t Get A Pass From Today’s “Woke” Standard And Practices

Despite the fact that Jeff Dunham has been picked up for two more Comedy Central specials on the heels of the resounding success of last year’s special, Saturday Night Live doesn’t think his 1998 routine would get an OK from today’s network standard and practices department. In this case, the network in question is the Game Show Network and their perceived problems with Jeff’s very first puppet creation, Jose Jalapeno on a Stick.

Today, Jeff Dunham tours the world with his entire act that will often tease those of all backgrounds and does so typically to sold-out audiences throughout the world. The act routinely makes Jeff one of the top-earning stand-up comedy routines of all-time.

Saturday Night Live just celebrated it’s season 46 finale in what looks to be a potential send-off for several players including Pete Davidson, Colin Jost, Kate McKinnon, Cecily Strong, Aidy Bryant, and Kenan Thompson.
