Watch: Hank Azaria Talks Up “The Simpsons” On Seth Meyers

Hank Azaria was a recent guest on Late Night With Seth Meyers where he made mention of all of the voices he does on The Simpsons, and that they are inspired by real people. Nowadays, the number of voices that Hank DOES voice, is slimmer e.g. Moe, Wiggum, Comic Book Guy, and that’s pretty much it right now due to his recent tour of a torching all of his other legendary characters that are somehow now deemed controversial with examples being Bumble Bee Man, Apu, and most recently Julio.

The Simpsons Executive Producer Matt Selman confirmed on Twitter that the casting team was (at least partially) inspired to cast Tony Rodriguez as the new voice of “Julio” after watching “Smithers & Beyond: Every LGBTQ Joke On the Simpsons Ever,” a 2hr:30m supercut created by Drew Mackie of the Gayest Episode Ever podcast.
