Funimation Gets Kaguya-sama: Love is War Season 1 English Dub

It was pretty weird that for a long time Funimation had the entirety of Kaguya-sama: Love is War’s second season English dubbed, but didn’t have the show’s first season dubbed as well. Welp, starting March 9th @ 3pm CT, that all changes because Funimation is getting all 12 episodes of the romantic comedy anime English dubbed.

The voice cast includes Alexis Tipton (Dragon Ball Super, Fire Force) as Kaguya Shinomiya; Aaron Dismuke (My Hero Academia, Dr. STONE) as Miyuki Shirogane; Jād Saxton (Death Parade, FAIRY TAIL) as Chika Fujiwara; and Austin Tindle (Tokyo Ghoul, Assassination Classroom) as Yu Ishigami. The series is directed by Shinichi Omata under the pseudonym Mamoru Hatakeyama and written by Yasuhiro Nakanishi, with animation by A-1 Pictures. Yuuko Yahiro is providing the character designs, while Jin Aketagawa is the sound director. Kei Haneoka is composing the series’ music.

Synopsis:

Known for being both brilliant and powerful, Miyuki Shirogane and Kaguya Shinomiya lead the illustrious Shuchiin Academy as near equals. And everyone thinks they’d make a great couple. Pride and arrogance are in ample supply, so the only logical move is to trick the other into instigating a date!
