“Bless The Harts” Adds Two To Recurring Cast
Don’t break ours.
Fresh off their Golden Globes win for Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, Chris Miller and Phil Lord’s upcoming series Bless the Harts is gearing up for a 2019 premiere on FOX. The new half-hour animated comedy created by Emily Spivey is slated for 13 episodes and features a great cast and is highly anticipated as FOX’s newest original animated series acquisition in several years.
BLESS THE HARTS follows a group of Southerners who are always broke as a joke, and struggling for the American dream of status and wealth. What they don’t realize is that they’re already rich, in friends, family and laughter. The half-hour animated comedy featuring the voices of Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee Kristen Wiig (“Bridesmaids,” “Saturday Night Live”), Emmy Award and Screen Actors Guild Award nominee Maya Rudolph (“The Good Place,” “Bridesmaids”), Emmy Award nominee Jillian Bell (“Saturday Night Live,” “Eastbound & Down”) and Ike Barinholtz (“Neighbors,” “Blockers”).
Mary Steenburgen (The Last Man On Earth) and Drew Tarver (Bajillion Dollar Propertie$) have joined the cast. According to Deadline, Steenburgen will play Crystal, a long time “frenemy” of Betty (Rudolph). Tarver will portray Randy, the town weirdo.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
