Review: Craig of the Creek “Sunday Clothes”

“The Clothes make the man”

Overview (Possible Spoilers Below)

Due to a mishap involving a pond, JP dirties his last clean outfit and ends up wearing his “Sunday best” dress clothes to the creek which leads to some comical situations.

Our Take

This was a fun episode. Outside of being the dumb-yet lovable dolt of Craig’s trio, we learn that JP has an older sister named Laura who works at a hospital and we’re left to assume that Laura is a nurse judging from her medical scrubs.

While the episode did have its share of comedic moments due to JP’s simple-minded nature, He at least had his moment to shine where he attempted to fix things between the paintball factions as an intermediary, but through an almost-messy process, he learns that with or without clothing, his two friends still got his back and learned a valuable lesson about responsibility which earned him some respect from someone he never thought would stick up for him.

Overall, the episode was decently-paced, and this show captures the spirit of those live-action kids movies that were made during the 80’s and 90’s where kids would blow the smallest of circumstances out of epic & comedic proportions and excels with a proper balance of humor and heart.
