Coneheads
In the 1970’s Saturday Night Live was at the height of its popularity. One of the most celebrated sketches of the time was Coneheads, which featured Dan Aykroyd and Jane Curtin. In 1993 Coneheads became a live-action blockbuster film, including a slew of merchandise like comic books and action figures. But, between the height of popularity and the relaunch of the 90’s, The Coneheads received the animated treatment.
Coneheads was released in 1983 and has since been titled an ‘animated special’, although it was the hopes of the cast and crew of the time that a series would come out of it. Even without being picked up, Coneheads have found their place in pop culture, with the stars reprising their roles as recent as 2015.
