Jimmy O. Yang Joins “The Happytime Murders”
Time to get happy.
The Happytime Murders already has Melissa McCarthy, Elizabeth Banks, Joel McHale and Maya Rudolph as part of the cast, but now Deadline is reporting that Jimmy O. Yang has joined the fray as a police officer who seems to have at it against the puppets.
The film is set in the L.A. underbelly where puppets and humans co-exist and centers on clashing detectives — one human (McCarthy) and the other a puppet — who are forced to work together to solve the mystery of who is brutally murdering the former cast of The Happytime Gang, a beloved classic puppet show.
The Happytime Murders is set to hit theaters August 17, 2018, via STX Entertainment.
