English Dub Review: KADO: The Right Answer “Nanomis-hein”

Highest scoring episode of the season thus far. Here’s why.

KADO: The Right Answer in its latest few episodes presented the plans of Yaha-Kui zaShunina (Jason Liebrecht). zaShunina with his advanced technology plans to propel humanity into its next evolutionary stage essentially with rapid advancement.

However, his tech is controversial and polarizing. While Kojiro Shindo (Ian Mead Moore), a talented negotiator and special advisor to zaShunina initially believe zaShunina’s intervention beneficial, he begins to think otherwise during “Talnel.” Saraka Tsukai (Mikaela Krantz) discusses her trepidation about zaShunina. As he reveals in “Nanomis-hein,” before landing on Earth zaShunina prepared four items: Kado, the wam, the sansa, and nanomeis-hein.

The fourth, nonomeis-hein is pretty trippy. It’s what aids humanity in controlling the anisotropic. As such, it is poised to revolutionize all of humanity and reality. Shindo points out that it reaches well beyond economic ramifications.

This episode offers loads of answers. zaShunina reveals this next device. The nanomis-hein lets its wearer control the universe essentially. Additionally, zaShunina chronicles his reason for visiting Earth as well as his plans for humanity in the future. The ending offers a major twist. While I can usually predict twists, this was one which I didn’t see coming. Kudos to KADO for that. It’s the first instance where zaShunina appears at his least benevolent. Additionally, a major character turns out to be much more than previously thought.

It’s probably the best entry of KADO: The Right Answer yet. With a massive shocker and high energy finale, it sets up a fantastic final leg of the series. However, the 3D animation isn’t spectacular throughout. At times it’s entertaining, but others it’s kind of clunky. Some of the wacky visuals feel more for show than relevant. But the voice acting it was top notch. Plus, the plot is superb. I like the idea of continued learning. This really fosters the sense that there isn’t a right answer. I’m curious where the show proceeds after a momentous “Nnomis-hein” shocker, and how zaShunina and Shindo’s relationship changes in light of their increasingly strained relaitonship.
