10 Times Other Broadcast Networks Tried To Beat “The Simpsons” But Failed Miserably
If today an animated show came on featuring Will Ferrell’s name on it, I can guarantee you a few things:
- The show would have gotten quite a few more seasons with Ferrell’s name attached.
- John C. Reilly would show up in it.
- Adam McKay and the rest of Gary Sanchez Productions would be on it,
- Adult Swim would be all over it.
Unfortunately, The Oblongs premiered in 2003 long before Ferrell became a household name. Will voiced lead character “Bob” who didn’t have arms or legs, but did his best to support his family while The WB could care less. Fortunately, Adult Swim picked up most of the show for it to air the remainder of the first season, and The WB ceased to exist shortly after giving way to the CW name it still holds today.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
