Review: Regular Show “Spacey McSpaceTree”
This guy is whacked out of his mind.
Spoilers Below
Col. Rawls is ordering Rigby to probation due to clumsiness which means one of two things if Rigby wants to get back his privileges:
- Read a huge safety manual
- Spacey McSpaceTree
Rawls picks number two after Rigby cries foul on the size of the safety manual, leading to a meeting with a huge talking Christmas tree that wears a helmet and teaches lessons on safety. As time goes on, Spacey McSpaceTree teaches Rigby a whole bunch about safety to the point that our little friend is the safest dude around.
Eventually, Rigby grows tired of Spacey, and opts to take the safety test without his trainer’s knowledge which causes a rift. Soon, we find out that Spacey was acting a bit too clingy due to his lack of contact with people over the last 30 years, causing the two to team up and beat the test together. Rigby is now off of probation, but is someone else close behind in getting similar punishment?
Our Take
YES I NOTICED MEN WITH HATS’S “SAFETY DANCE”. I just wanted to beat the eventual comment, and yea, we had a pretty funny episode of Regular Show tonight. Kind of typical in that over the years, Rigby and Mordecai have had to do a bunch of shit because they got in trouble or they want something (and part of me thinks this episode was supposed to air before last night’s), but overall a solid effort.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
