Review: Regular Show “Operation: Hear No Evil”
No Glen Jacobs appearances tonight, kids.
Spoilers Below
Everyone in the Space Tree is obsessed with a soapy TV show, but Benson makes Mordecai and Rigby vacuum the house first. The duo goes through a number of different measures to make sure NO ONE spoils the final episode which is tough because everyone’s into it. Unfortunately, Mordy and Rigby ditch vacuuming and instead go on the run avoiding a raving mad Benson that just wants to spoil the end. The chase leads to a VCR where just as the guys get ready to kick off the final episode, a standoff occurs that sees a truce happen, but someone else comes in to spoil the end anyway.
Our Take
Two cultural clashes come in to play in tonight’s episode of Regular Show. TV shows that needed to be recorded on VHS for playback later, and binge-watching. One is more associated with how things used to be done, the other is an issue that is just a prevalent now as it has ever been. Throw in the fact that we saw Benson go to levels of silly that reminded me of like Hellraiser, and tonight’s episode was a nice pickup that was also hilarious.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
