Review: Regular Show “Mordeby and Rigbecai”
Holy hell, Rigby.
Spoilers Below
Mordecai and Rigby find a teleportation machine and just mess around with it for a few when all of a sudden, the two BOTH fall into one of the entrances and switch butts. Before the two can fix their butts, Benson comes by and throws them out of the room and locks it behind him. Fortunately, Muscle Man is a licensed teleportation machine engineer and he can help, but not before the genetic mutations brought on by both Rigby and Mordecai begin to manifest. Rigby gets Benson’s keys and the guys go through the teleportation machine again, but the mutations are getting worse. That said, Benson’s LOVING his new height and strength with Mordecai’s body and runs amok throughout the park. Muscle Man helps Mordecai even the odds, but somehow all three fall into the teleporter causing Rigby to be a combo of Rigby, Mordecai, AND Muscle Man. The new monster goes nuts like the Hulk, but Muscle Man and Mordecai are able to spring a trap and turn Rigby back to normal.
Our Take
I’ve seen other franchises play in this space before (Family Guy and Futurama come to mind) , but the producers of Regular Show are on another level and really made this trope it’s own. Benson was extra funny, and the growing insanity that is Rigby being tall was hilarious. Also, I’ll be curious if during the rest of the season, if we find out what other kinds of training the park employees have gone through. Right away we know that everyone’s privy to knowledge of space travel, but with Muscle Man getting expertise in teleportation, what could the others be knowledgeable in?
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
