Review: Camp Camp “Camporee”

The kids take part in the Lake Lilac Camporee against rival gangs of other campers like the The Wood Scouts and The Flower Scouts. Pikeman makes a bet with Campbell, so it’s up to Dave to make sure the campers work together and win the competition. The Camp Camp kids actually do win, but it’s only after they discover that they are better working alone than with each other.

Our Take

I get it. The kids NOT working together to win the day was the twist, but overall this episode picked up on every typical trope that has been done in a series about being away at camp, most notably the competition. It’s an easy place to go to, but very seldom is anything original really done, and that’s the same here. Most of the competition levels were montages anyway, so there wasn’t much to invest here to begin with.
