Box Office Report 9/6/16: “Sausage Party” Nears $100 mil

Nearing the century mark.

Sausage Party has officially added another $10 million to its domestic box office gross against a $19 mil budget giving us a total of about $98 mil. This despite the constant backlash of the working conditions at Nitrogen studios brought on by animators claiming to have taken on a bunch of unpaid overtime by way of Greg Tiernan.

The film was released in the UK late last weekend, so expect some international numbers over the next several weeks to help Sausage Party get over the $100 mil plateau.
