Review: Regular Show “Gymblonski”
Spoilers Below
Rigby’s re-taking gym class and it’s now being run by a former bully of his ‘Gymblonski’. Rigby lets the principal know that he’s not exactly crazy about this situation so when Gymblonski finds out he makes the class do extra laps while Rigby does the dishes. Later on, Mordecai convinces Rigby to challenge Gymblonski to a ‘food run’ with the stakes being a pass on the class.
The actual competition is rather brutal, as it features a car race heading to a fast food joint with the first one completing their order and passing the finish line being claimed the winner. After a crazy run, Rigby wins, and Gymblonski passes Rigby.
Our Take
Another solid episode of Regular Show from the Cartoon Network App! While the premise isn’t as exciting as the previous effort, and yes at its center we have another competition, the rules of the race were so different that this could only be Regular Show. The various obstacles were rather hilarious and included Rigby’s car getting splattered with sauce and constant homeless people trying to run him off the road. Also of note, a one-time bully (which there seemed to be a lot of when Rigby was in high school) ends up being a good guy. Normally, that doesn’t happen, so it was pretty special to see something different. Good stuff.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
