Rick and Morty Season One Blu-Ray/DVD details released!
TVShowsonDVD.com has confirmed that Rick and Morty Season One is indeed coming out on Blu-Ray and DVD and that both will release on October 7th. We’ve already noted that episode commentaries will be included in the releases and that all 11 episodes will be available uncensored. TVShowsonDVD was able to uncover that not only is the series going to include episode commentaries as part of its special features, but that animatics, and Ultraviolet copies for the Blu-Ray will also be available.
As of now, the Rick and Morty Season One will release on a 2-disc DVD with an MSRP of $25 with the Blu-Ray coming in at just under $30. Below is the synopsis for the release as per the article:
From comedic masterminds Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland comes Rick and Morty: The Complete First Season Blu-ray and DVD. Adult Swim’s newest series follows the adventures of mad scientist Rick Sanchez, who returns after 20 years to live with his daughter, her husband, and their children Morty and Summer. All 11 episodes of the hilariously frantic comedy will be available on Blu-ray and DVD, featuring a unique slip case designed by the show creators themselves.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
