Shorts Review: Battlefield Friends “Recon C4”

You know, it’s really pathetic for a game developer when an animated show on the internet does a better job at addressing issues with their game. Find out what Battlefield Friends has to say after the jump!

Don’t you love it when you go from a game to its sequel, and everything changes, including the loadouts? I hate it, because you pick classes based on what you know from previous games. Noob has that problem as well, when he is looking for his C4. Unfortunately, Recon has it, because EA felt it necessary to give snipers C4. Noob beats around the bush for a sec, because he wants Recon to admit that he stole his Jeep Stuff. Recon tries telling him that he has it now, because it was programmed like that. Noob hurries off to go earn his Jeep Stuff, by ramming a quad through Recon.

This episode is fantastic! EA should take notice in this, because this is a list in progress of everything wrong with this game, and FPS’s in general. Thankfully, the guys at Battlefield Friends act like that thorn in EA’s side, relishing in the fact that they are a constant reminder of how shitty they’ve become.  We need more shows like this. Great animation and writing make this a great show. However, it’s the subject matter that makes this a fantastic PSA for companies to put out better games.
