Bubble CAN Review: Fugget About It “THE MCFRUGALS”

Spoilers Below

Since Fugget About It’s nine-month hiatus from the final of last season, the writers haven’t missed a beat. In fact, the Falcones return with a bang (figuratively), with dirtier jokes, more cursing and wackier methods than ever before.

The season two premier of Fugget About It is cleverly titled “The McFrugals”, which becomes the ex-New Yorkers’ way-of-life after a series of events.

After being manipulated by an infomercial to buy a useless product, bored housewife Cookie realizes the Falcones have never owned a legitimate credit card.

When Jimmy quits his job after digging up his nest egg, and the family go on a spending spree (which hilariously results in Special Agent Straight McCool wrestling a tiger!), the McDougals turn frugal after spending more than they have.

When Jimmy and Cheech are refused unemployment insurance from the Canadian Department of Health, Welfare and other Handouts, the McPenny-pinchers then resort to some of their old criminal ways in order to provide for themselves.

Although Theresa is warned that she can’t sell her body for money, she does the next best thing – manipulates her brother Petey into selling his body to experimental drug companies and his body parts to Russian mobsters.

If this episode is just a taste of things to come, viewers are in for a real treat.

“The McFrugals” also had the best McCool “for Canada” gimmick to date… “FOR CANADA! WHERE YOU CAN GET MONEY FOR NOTHING AND THE CHICKS AREN’T FREE!”… Yes, Dire Straits kicks ass!
