Review: Family Guy “12 And a Half Angry Men”

Spoilers Below

Adam West is on trial for murder and Quahog’s finest are in for jury duty. With Bruce as Foreman, everyone in the jury votes Adam as guilty with the exception of Brian whom not only believes that Adam is not guilty, but he also ruins dinner for the evening. After a lot of bickering, the members deliberate over a bunch of evidence which includes a letter, sex orgy notes, and the eventual realization from Quagmire that Brian may have had a point in his decision on the case. Eventually, the rest of the jurors fall in line with the same decision except Carter of whom wants payback for a deal gone wrong. Carter caves, and after some day dreams, Adam West thanks the Quahog crowd for believing in him this entire time. Unfortunately, that means there is still a killer out there and he may be closer than we think!

All the previews had this one looking strong, but if I were in a jury I’d make sure this one was sentenced for a hanging. Why? Well, the premise of the episode wasn’t all bad, but the delivery was just so damn boring. That said, we had some great jokes, like bringing up Ida to Brian, Quags’ melting on the sex pile, and Peter’s attempts at opening a blind. But, the plot was so drab I just couldn’t wait for it to be over. To be honest, it seemed like a watered down ‘And Then There Were Fewer” by giving us a bunch of seldom used characters (when was the last time we saw Carl be a part of anything significant, and friggin’ Bruce??) in a room, wait for Peter to come up with some jokes, then call it a day.  I love Adam West, but this was an episode that Batman couldn’t have saved.
