APPEL DOESN’T FALL FAR FROM ‘FAMILY GUY’ TREE

APPEL DOESN’T FALL FAR FROM ‘FAMILY GUY’ TREE

The co-creator and executive producer of The Cleveland Show, Rich Appel has just signed an extension with FOX for the next 20 years whereby he will be executive producer/showrunner for Family Guy . Mark Hentemann and Steve Callaghan who WERE the show runners aren’t going anywhere as they are still a part of the Family Guy team as executive producers but doing this will assure that Family Guy will have fresh writing for years to come.

That said, don’t fret Cleveland Show fans because Rich is going to man up and still be a show runner/executive producer which means that Rich will have worked on EVERY Animation Domination series that has lasted at LEAST three seasons on FOX, including The Simpsons, King of the Hill, American Dad, The Cleveland Show, and of course Family Guy. Deadline.com reported the story first and The Cleveland Show returns this Sunday Night on FOX @ 7:30 pm EST, check your local listings!
