Phineas and Ferb are camping out with all their friends and of course Candace is trying to prove her brothers’ troublemakings but is under contract with her mom that she is only able to levy a complaint once a day. Having already forfeited her chance at spoiling the sleep over, Candace has to wait until the clock strikes twelve before she can tell her mom. From the looks of it she may get her chance because the kids build a giant telescope that is able to take a gander at a bunch of planets which gets Buford excited as he is looking for his long lost ‘Whale-mingo’ and with this machine he may just get to see it! Turns out there is a whole planet of “whale-mingos’ but there’s a slight problem as it is quickly headed to smash into Earth!
Meanwhile, Doof is building a machine so that he can get the world’s largest ball of yarn in hopes of spurning a new road-side attraction. Perry of course is trapped and Doof is able to beam the ball of yarn back to the evil HQ, only for it to get caught on Phineas and Ferb’s new giant spring that they are using to bounce the alien planet back to orbit. The yarn gets caught on the spring and shrivels up until its really small, then the planet gets sent back to orbit. Afterwards, Candace tries to show her mom of what’s going down, but with no evidence Phineas, Ferb, Perry, and the gang all get treated to late night snacks.
A pretty standard episode of Phineas and Ferb but it’ll have to make do as we don’t get another one for two weeks. That said I didn’t this week’s episode was all that great, the B-plot was very forgettable and seemed just thrown together at the last minute, and the A-plot wasn’t all that funny except Linda Fletcher and her contract. Even Perry didn’t really put up a fight tonight and as such it looks as the writers didn’t either.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
