Youtube Live TV Launches With 40 Channels

YAY! More skinny bundles!

For $35 you can get Youtube Live TV which today includes all of the major broadcast networks, and most of their affiliates like FX, ESPN, and a number of others. What is NOT included is anything from Viacom, Scripps Networks, Turner Networks, and a few other notable networks.

The one cool bit is that you can get Youtube Red included in the service which includes such original fare as Paranormal Action Squad and music videos/other content without commercials as opposed to paying $10 should you have any other streaming service.

Most of my staff utilizes various streaming services or internet TV skinny bundles and one of the main pieces of feedback I get is that most of them don’t feature access to everything that a normal cable/satellite bundle has. For example, Playstation Vue doesn’t feature access to Turner networks which lops off such networks like TBS, Adult Swim, and a slew of others. I’ve even interviewed someone that was like, “until all services are like iTunes and I can pay $2.99 an episode, I won’t subscribe” which is the shittiest thing I’ve ever heard.

If I’m a media conglomerate, I make sure my access to content is EVERYWHERE..because the streaming services bundle is expanding and when it pops, there’s gonna be some casualties.

In related news, Youtube is now available on the Xfinity X1 platform.
