Paramount And WB Discovery Spar Over "South Park"

WB Discovery has sued Paramount $200 million over lack of new South Park content produced over the last couple of years. while Paramount+ gets "made-for-TV" movies exclusive to their service.

Paramount has counter-sued for $50 million claiming that WB Discovery hasn't made any payments towards any of the new episodes that they have received as part of a $500 million agreement.

HBO MAX has exclusive streaming rights to new episodes of South Park through 2025, at which point, rights would revert to Paramount for a $500 million agreed deal with the producers of South Park. HBO MAX has also banned five episodes of the show from its service.

Season 26 of South Park wrapped in March 2023 for Comedy Central and is available to stream on HBO MAX. Paramount+ is slated for two new South Park specials later this year.
