“We Bare Bears” Movie & Spin-Off Series Announced

Yes, please.

We’ve been screaming for a We Bare Bears baby bears spin-off series for a while and now it looks like we’re gonna get it. Cartoon Network has not only announced a spin-off series featuring the baby bears, but we’re getting a full-length We Bare Bears movie as well coming in 2020. No word yet as to when specifically either of these are going to drop, but color us excited!

We Bare Bears is an animated comedy about three brothers trying to fit in and make friends…which can be kind of hard to do when you’re a bear. Grizzly (Eric Edelstein), Panda (Bobby Moynihan) and Ice Bear (Demetri Martin) are fairly savvy about the modern world: they’re masters of the selfie, fans of the food truck, and chasers of internet fame. Yet they have a lot learn about the trendy residents that surround their humble Bay Area cave. Always up for an adventure, Grizzly, the oldest bear, will lead his younger brothers, Panda and Ice Bear, with bounds of optimism that will only result in disaster some of the time.

We Bare Bears deals with the Bears’ everyday misadventures of finding food, goofing around, and dealing with each other and the world around them. Through it all these bears stick together and are very close. Really close…their favorite way to get around town is by “bear-stack,” a unique formation that features Grizzly atop Panda atop Ice Bear, who does all of the walking. Along the way, the Bears are joined by their best human friend Chloe (Charlyne Yi), a fame-flaunting Koala named Nom Nom (Patton Oswalt), and their neighbor Charlie (Jason Lee), a.k.a. Bigfoot.

Created by Annie Award-winner Daniel Chong (Toy Story of Terror!), We Bare Bears was conceived as part of Cartoon Network Studios’ thriving and prolific shorts development program which also created the network’s latest hit animated series Steven Universe, Uncle Grandpa, Clarence, and the Emmy®-winning Regular Show.
