WB Animation Announces Teen Titans: The Judas Contract’ Voice Cast and First Images Revealed.

A decade ago, Warner Bros. animation first announced an adaptation to one their most iconic DC Comic stories from Marv Wolfman and George Perez’s Teen Titans run from the 80s. For a while, it was in development hell but now it’s finally becoming a reality.

Originally printed as a four-part storyline that concluded in 1984, writer Marv Wolfman and artist George Perez‘s “The Judas Contract” storyline saw the Titular teen heroes facing betrayal by one of their own, who had secretly partnered up with their greatest foe Deathstroke in order to defeat the team.

The voice cast so far has announced Christina Ricci as Terra and Miguel Ferrer (who just recently passed away hours after this announcement) as Deathstroke. Along with the Teen Titans cast via the Justice League vs Teen Titans movie.

It was previously adapted by the mid-2000s Teen Titans series, which obviously left out some of the more adult aspects seen in the comics (including an infamous moment in the plot where Terra slept with Slade despite being underaged) but it remains to be seen whether or not the animated feature film will play up this angle.

DC initially announced “Judas Contract” back in 2006, but was put on hold in 2008 due to a purported lack of interest in the Teen Titans at the time (keep in mind that the good Teen Titans cartoon ended its run in 2006 after 5 seasons) but was thankfully revived as part of its 2017 slate alongside Justice League Dark.
