Watch: The Co-Creator of ‘Ren & Stimpy’ Is Now Making Cartoons for a Meat Company

Into the Meat Cave 2

Though Ren & Stimpy is long gone, relegated to only DVD releases and obvious influences in shows like SpongeBob SquarePants, series co-creator Bob Camp is still churning out the show’s signature animation style – for cured-meat maker Volpi Foods.

The 113-year-old St. Louis-based company enlisted Camp and Zero Point Zero Production for a series of digital faux PSAs featuring anthropomorphic meat products, entitled “Into the Meat Cave.”

The shorts explain the advantages of cured meats over smoked, the meaning of mold, and the different between jamon and prosciutto, while also invoking subjects like swinging (of the sexual variety), biker gangs, and midlife crises.

If I haven’t sold you on these already, then there’s likely no hope, and you’re probably some sort of fun-hating, militant vegan. Although, come to think of it, that would probably make a good cartoon too.
