Watch our new interview with songwriting duo Elyssa Samsel and Kate Anderson. Elyssa and Kate are the songwriting team behind Apple TV’s animated series, Central Park. Featuring the voices of Tituss Burgess, Daveed Diggs, Josh Gad, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., and Stanley Tucci, the hotly-anticipated second season premiered on June 25th. The music team pulled off miracles while recording through COVID.

In addition to Central Park, Elyssa and Kate’s credits include Broadway-bound musical Between the Lines (in collaboration with Jodi Picoult), as well as the musicals The Book Thief and Camp Wish-No-More. They also received an Annie Award nomination for Outstanding Achievement for Music in an Animated Feature Production for Disney Animation’s Olaf’s Frozen Adventure. Both are members of the Advanced BMI Workshop and graduates of the Lehman Engel Musical Theater Workshop.
