WATCH: Kenny Loggins Plays Concert in Some Dude’s Living Room
Kenny Loggins, multi-platinum recording legend and recent guest star on FX’s Archer, recently played a concert in some dude’s living room – and it was all thanks to Kickstarter.
As we previously reported, Erick M. Sanchez began a crowdfunding campaign on July 29, 2014, appropriately titled: “I want Kenny Loggins to play in my living room.” The Kickstarter got some media attention, gained traction, and in just a couple of weeks reached the goal of $30,000 with the help of 237 backers.
As the description stated, the money would be used to bring the Blue Sky Riders (Loggins, Georgia Middleman, and Gary Burr) to Sanchez’s DC-area home to play a 75-minute acoustic set. The band help up their end of the bargain, and about 50 of the supporters got to watch the mini-concert – which included a performance of Archer’s favorite tune, “Danger Zone” – live in-person.
“Everyone had a really great time, I mean, the energy in my living room was fantastic,” Sanchez said of the “surreal” show.
No word about the acoustics in the home, but Loggins reportedly considered it a successful gig. “This is the first time we’ve done anything like this – it felt really great,” he said.

One recommendation would be to add our RSS feed to your favorite news aggregator service like Feedly, this way you get all of the latest posts!
