Watch An Animated Flashback Sequence From Amazon’s “Hunters” Series
“The Princess & the Green Knight” is a fantastical animation sequence appearing in the episode 7 – “Shalom Motherf***er” of Amazon’s original series Hunters, created by David Weil (Moonfall) and produced by Jordan Peele (Get Out, Us). For those that don’t know inspired by true events, HUNTERS follows a diverse band of Nazi Hunters in 1977 New York City who discover that hundreds of escaped Nazis are living in America. And so, they do what any bad-ass vigilante squad would do: they set out on a bloody quest for revenge and justice. But they soon discover a far-reaching conspiracy and must race against time to thwart the Nazis’ new genocidal plans.
In the episode, entitled “Shalom “Motherf***er”, the premise of the episode shows the Hunters that were tormented by wicked ghosts of times past as the day waned and Darkness prepared to strike.
In this flashback sequence, Ruth tells her history in the camp of Auschwitz to her grandson Jonah, back during the second World War. The story is told in the context of a fairy tale.
The animated short is directed by Guillaume Dousse (Sun Creature) & Kylie Matulick (Psyop) and is produced by Sun Creature Studio.
