In celebration of the anniversary, Adult Swim has ordered the pick-up of two new seasons of fan-favorite series FLCL, FLCL: Grunge and FLCL: Shoegaze, which are currently in production, and greenlit the original series, Housing Complex C, coming later this year.

Housing Complex C centers around Kimi who lives in a small, low-cost housing complex located in the seaside town of Kurosaki where trouble seems to follow her wherever she goes, and horrific incidents begin to occur… is an ancient evil stalking the residents of Housing Complex C? The series is directed by Yuji Nara with script and original concept by amphibian. The animation studio is Akatsuki.

FLCL: Grunge is directed by Hitoshi Takekiyo and animated by MontBlanc Pictures and FLCL: Shoegaze is directed by Yutaka Uemura and animated by Production I.G x NUT. Both FLCL series and Housing Complex C are all executive produced by DeMarco and produced by Maki Terashima-Furuta (Production IG USA).

Long-time animated Toonami: Countdown hosts TOM (Steve Blum) and SARA (Dana Swanson) are at the center of Adult Swim’s Toonami celebration. Their characters are featured in Cosmo Samurai Part 2, a 4-part anime short along with The Return, an all-new 2-part special with custom CGI TOM and SARA story telling piece premiering Saturday, March 19, and concluding Saturday, March 26.

In a new interview with Collider, Clone High producers Lord and Miller has noted that the revival series is in various degrees of production, but there has been no real update on when the show will premiere on HBO MAX. The Shadowmachine produced series has two seasons currently in production for HBO MAX and will continue to follow the elaborate military experiment that is Clone High.

James Gunn has confirmed as a guest star for the upcoming third season of Harley Quinn where the famed director will be voicing himself in an upcoming episode. Sam Richardson was previously announced as having joined the series, so already, the third season of Harley Quinn is getting more epic by the day. Mad Hatter will be one of the new villains that will be featured in the upcoming third season of Harley Quinn which is slated to premiere on HBO MAX sometime later this year.

The new season will see Dean Lorey not returning as the showrunner in favor of new co-showrunners Chrissy Pietrosh and Jessica Goldstein who will be heading up a writer’s room that features more writers that are LGBTQ+ as a result of where the second season ended that saw Harley and Poison Ivy’s relationship that will see further exploration of Poison Ivy’s background in the show’s third season. Jefferson Friedman, the show’s composer, has teased a musical episode of some kind is on the way.

A spin-off series entitled Noonan’s, centered around Kite-Man, is also being developed. Harvey Guillén will be voicing Nightwing in the upcoming season of Harley Quinn.

Harley Quinn has finally broken things off once and for all with the Joker and attempts to make it on her own as the criminal Queenpin of Gotham City in this half-hour adult animated action-comedy series. The series features Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and a whole cast of heroes and villains, old and new, from the DC Universe.

The third season of HBO MAX’s Close Enough has a rumored premiere of April 7th. There isn’t anything official announcing the premiere date just yet, but once we get an official confirmation, we will have a full report.

From Emmy® winning creator JG Quintel (“Regular Show”) comes season two of Close Enough, the animated comedy about a married couple, their five-year-old daughter, and their divorced best friends all living together on the east-side of Los Angeles. Season two has Josh, Emily, and the gang continuing to navigate adulthood while contending with haunted couches, bulbous horses, time-traveling whiskeys, and a literal houseguest from hell — all in their very own apartment.

Cast includes JG Quintel (Josh), Gabrielle Walsh (Emily), Jason Mantzoukas (Alex), Kimiko Glenn (Bridgette), Jessica DiCicco (Candice), Danielle Brooks (Pearle), James Adomian (Randy). Season 2 guest stars include Rachel Bloom, Heidi Gardner, Keith David, Cheri Oteri, Kevin Michael Richardson, Kate Micucci, David Koechner, Vanessa Marshall, Wendie Malick, Kate Berlant, and Michaela Watkins.

Season three is currently in production with a fourth season also having been ordered.
