Vic Mignogna Fired from Rooster Teeth Animation

Here’s what we know so far.

Earlier yesterday evening, the Rooster Teeth blog posted an announcement the firing of voice actor Vic Mignogna, formerly the voice of Qrow Branwen on their hit series “RWBY”, as well as known for his work as Broly in the recently released “Dragon Ball Super: Broly” film. This firing comes after a resurgence of accusations, both old and new against Mignogna for inappropriate behavior at convention appearances towards fans both of legal age and minors, as well as his own voice acting peers and co-workers. These accusations cover most of the actor’s professional career, having apparently gained an infamous reputation among con-goers, leading to a recent cancellation of nearly every future convention appearance.

Mignogna was quick to defend himself, releasing a statement on Twitter refuting any and all accusations, but this was followed up by disputing statements and further accusations from several fans, as well as those who worked with him such as D.C. Douglass, who works with Mignogna on “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable”, Monica Rial, who worked with him in the 2003 version of “Full Metal Alchemist”, and Neil Kaplan, who has worked with him on shows like “Naruto: Shippuden” and “Bleach”.

This is the first notable action taken by a studio associated with Mignogna, and it is unclear what decision others like Viz or Funimation will take regarding whatever audio he has already recorded or future roles. We will report further as the situation updates.
