Viacom’s Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) plans to add three channels to OSN, a major TV operator in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The new networks are Nickelodeon HD, Nick Jr., and MTV Live HD.

“This announcement signifies Viacom International Media Networks’ decisive move into the region and strengthens its ability to deliver high-quality content appealing to various key age demographics in MENA,” Viacom said in a statement.

The new channels will launch on January 5th of next year, and will run 24 hours a day. They will join VH1 as the only current Viacom network in the area. VIMN content will also be available on OSN Play, Viacom’s online viewing platform.

Beginning in February, the Nick channels will both be available in two languages, English and Arabic, and will transform Nickelodeon “into the only international kids TV channel available in Arabic produced in the MENA region exclusively for OSN,” the company said. Viacom’s Dubai Media City team will handle the production.
