Toonami To Replay FLCL Season 1!

In a move surprising absolutely no one and timed perfectly to add a couple extra bucks to my next paycheck, Toonami has announced a re-airing of the first season of FLCL to begin priming the hype for the premieres starting in June! Following a re-airing of the “Countdown” event and the “Scavengers” short on the 7th, the reruns will start on April 14th at 11:30 p.m., and will go on through to the week of the premiere, June 2nd.
This isn’t the first time Toonami has aired FLCL, mind you. After Funimation’s acquisition of the show’s license, Toonami aired the OVA’s six episodes from October 2013 to January 2014. With more than four years since the last episode previously aired, the palette for longtime fans is cleansed and ready to embrace the madness anew, along with future fans who have yet to see it!
Though now that we have the first of the third season to compare with the original, will this do more harm than good in getting people hyped about the new episodes? Guess we’ll see when they premiere in a couple months, but for now, let’s enjoy the ride! And remember to come back here when Progressive begins for our reviews!
