This Fan-Made Dragon Ball Video Looks Better Than Dragon Ball Super

On YouTube, you find a lot of videos that don’t quite do anything special. There are a lot of reaction videos, gameplay videos, and a bunch of stupidity. Sometimes, there’s a special gem in the general YouTube dumpster fire, and this one is it.

Titled “Legend: A Dragon Ball Tale,” Studio Stray Dog and creator Naseer Pasha create a visually stunning alternate tale of Goku and company. Everything from the crisp animation, down to the 1980’s aesthetic with the VHS filter brought back that feeling of watching DBZ on VHS at my childhood friend’s house.

There’s just so much going on here, with bringing some of the better elements of DBZ in to what’s essentially the final arc of Dragon Ball, with Vegeta and Broly showing up, a change in the origin of the Saiyans, and three wickedly cool transformations. Pasha took the best of DBZ, and put it in probably the part of Dragon Ball that had the best storytelling.

Enough of me hyping the video, just watch it.
