“The Simpsons” X Billie Eilish Is This Year’s “Steamed Hams”

Will this explode?

Maybe this is why Billie Eilish released an animated music video last month? For whatever reason, The Simpsons still manage to stay socially relevant despite being on the series for 30 seasons. Whether it’s last year’s bat shit crazy “Steamed Hams” bits which seemed to have a life of their own or independent producers of art inspired by the series that then go viral this show still goes bananas.

Well, here’s a new one. People on Youtube are mashing up Billie Eilish’s music video for “Bad Guy”, which has only had been released as a single for the young artist since the end of March, and the results are pretty astounding. These clips feature mash-ups with quite a few names across the Springfield spectrum and you can see some examples below.

Recently nominated for a 2018 Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program, THE SIMPSONS exploded into a cultural phenomenon in 1990 and has remained one of the most groundbreaking and innovative global entertainment franchises. HOMER (Dan Castellaneta), MARGE (Julie Kavner), BART (Nancy Cartwright), LISA (Yeardley Smith) and MAGGIE are instantly identifiable around the world. The Emmy Award-, Annie Award- and Peabody Award-winning animated comedy just wrapped its 30th season this year and has been picked up for seasons 31 & 32.

THE SIMPSONS is a Gracie Films Production in association with 20th Century Fox Television. The series was created by Matt Groening and developed by James L. Brooks, Groening and Sam Simon. Brooks and Groening are executive producers. Al Jean also serves as an executive producer and the series’ showrunner. The Gracie Films Worldwide Brand Division develops and produces the licensed content for the series.
