“The Simpsons” Predicted Richard Branson’s Space Travel
Richard Branson made waves this last week after his Virgin Galactic finally conducted it’s first flight with Richard Branson onboard. This, of course, has publications thinking back to the episodes “The War of Art” where Branson is seen floating in a space shuttle admiring a painting during a brief cutaway. The billionaire would later guest star on an episode of The Simpsons entitled “The Princess Guide” where he voices himself.
I’m not sure if this makes up for recent reports that The Simpsons weren’t allowed to have Stan Lee in a recent Disney+ short thanks to some ridiculous politics, but The Simpsons seem to continue to keep reminding everybody that they are at the forefront of prognostication. Some are pining the fact that Virgin Galactic had been founded a decade prior to the aforementioned episode’s broadcast premiere, however, there’s no guarantee that Richard could potentially still be here all these years later, making it very much still a good bet by the longest running animated sitcom in broadcast history.
The Simpsons predicted it… 👏
