‘The Simpsons’ pay tribute to Charlie Hebdo
The wounds are still open as to what happened at the headquarters of Charlie Hebdo when terrorists stormed the offices and killed innocent people whom were just at work in an effort to make money for their families’. Since then, the terrorists who have committed the murders have been destroyed and the world over has provided a wealth of support in unity no matter race, creed, color, or ethnicity, in remembering those whom have fallen.
On Sunday Night’s episode of The Simpsons, the biggest animated cartoon of all time made sure to pay their respects with this image featuring Maggie that flashed at the near-end of the episode. Matt Groening comes from being a print cartoonist, and has definitely been a part of a show that has had its fair share of controversy, so I’m sure Matt certainly feels for the situation and this is his way of showing it.
