“The Andy Cohen Diaries” Animated Series Headed To Quibi
Quibi has announced a six-episode order for a new animated series inspired by Bravo’s Andy Cohen entitled The Andy Cohen Diaries. The series is an animated retelling of Andy’s life featuring stories that have been made public and a bunch that have not been.Topics for his stories include celeb encounters, behind-the-scenes at some of the ridiculous talk shows he’s hosted, and being a dad. Most Talkative Productions and Shadowmachine will be producing the series.
Our Take
Andy Cohen is a real-life cartoon, so this pairing makes perfect sense. I’m actually surprised that Quibi hasn’t had more animated series pickups of this variety, but maybe that’s a good thing. The dust has cleared a bit on animated retellings of celeb stories whence compared to the last few years, but with Shadowmachine losing a bunch of pipeline that used to be on Netflix, the studio will need some new blood to stay busy.
