Tales From Springfield
Before the meme that you see here went berserk last year, 22 Short Films About Springfield nearly gave us a spin-off of The Simpsons for FOX called Tales from Springfield which would have been a series that focused on the citizens of Springfield that would exclude the principle namesake of the show. Given the crazy success that the aforementioned “Skinner & The Superintendent” went through, imagine what other crazy shit could come from random Springfield? Matt Groening noted that the reason why the series didn’t go forward was because it would have tapped the resources from The Simpsons series, but nowadays that shouldn’t be a problem.
