Syfy Picks Up Happy! For Season Two
The season one finale hits this Wednesday Night, but Syfy wanted to surprise us all early with an announcement that Happy! will be picked up for a second season!
Based on Grant Morrison and Darick Robertson’s graphic novel of the same name, Happy! follows Nick Sax (Meloni) – an intoxicated, corrupt ex-cop turned hitman – who is adrift in a world of casual murder, soulless sex and betrayal. After a hit gone wrong, his inebriated life is forever changed by a tiny, relentlessly positive, imaginary blue winged horse named Happy (Oswalt).
In the must-see finale entitled “I am the Future”, Sax and Happy are locked in a climactic confrontation to rescue Hailey (Bryce Lorenzo) from Very Bad Santa’s (Joseph Reitman) lair, as Merry (Lili Mirojnick) sets out to save Amanda (Medina Senghore) from a far more powerful foe. The series also stars Ritchie Coster (Blue) and Patrick Fischler (Smoothie).
Happy! premieres the season one finale episode this Wednesday @ 10 pm ET/PT, check your local listings.
Our Take
Out of FOX, ABC, Disney XD, and a slew of others, it’s Syfy that gives us the first true televised adult animated comedy hybrid that works in the new millennium. Who knew?
Hi Ashley, thank you so much for reading and we love the feedback. Note that on that day we had 14th posts go up and only ten posts show on the front page, so it's possible the preview had already been archived by the time you got to it. One recommendation would be to add our RSS feed to your favorite news aggregator service like Feedly, this way you get all of the latest posts!
