Syfy Original Series Eureka makes an animated episode that isn’t all that original

I love the old school “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” style films from the ’60s, and its great to see that after 50 years stop-motion animation is as popular as ever with shows like Mary Shelly’s Frankenhole and Robot Chicken. But, Jeebus fucking Christ does EVERYONE have to jump on the “lets do an animated special for Christmas” bandwagon? “Community” did it last year and that was fine, and this year we already have had tween-heart throb and resident douchebag Justin Bieber do his own take on stop motion with his latest music video.

But, now the show “Eureka” is jumping on the bandwagon and doing a stop-motion Christmas special/season finale, probably in an effort to try and win an Emmy before its eventual cancellation next season. If you care “Eureka” comes on tonight on Syfy at a time that I don’t care to find out because I probably won’t watch it.
