Starburns Industries Working On Will Vinton Doc

Probably the most correct studio to work on this.

XYZ Films and Rick and Morty producer Starburns Industries are teaming to produce Welcome to My Daydream a biographical feature-length documentary about Oscar-winning stop-motion animation icon Will Vinton. Marq Evans (The Glamour & the Squalor) is set to direct, with XYZ handling worldwide sales.

For those that don’t know, Will Vinton was a world-renowned stop-motion animation producer having produced various TV and movie projects including The PJ’s, Gary & Mike, and a slew of other titles before the studio closed in 2003. Five years later, Will would retire right up until late last year when he passed away as a result of multiple myeloma at age 70.

It’s fair to say studios like Starburns, Shadowmachine, Stoopid Buddy, and a slew of others probably wouldn’t be around today had it not been for Vinton almost single-handedly keeping stop motion alive in the nineties through the earli 2000’s along with the likes of Eric Fogel who did similarly with MTV’s Celebrity Deathmatch.
