Disney XD must have been reaaaalllllyy happy with the sneak peek numbers, because they just put out a press release noting that they have not only set a date for the series premier of Star vs the Forces of Evil, but that they have already picked the show up for a second season.

Star vs the Forces of Evil has been announced for a premier on March 30th @ 8 pm ET/PT on Disney XD, but fans whom have the Disney XD app will be able to stream episodes before they even air on TV. Starting February 23rd, the first two episodes will stream as follows:

“Monster Arm/The Other Exchange Student” : When Marco hurts his arm before a big karate tournament, Star tries to fix it with magic. Then the Diaz family’s charming former exchange student, Gustav, comes to visit and Star is convinced that he has an evil motive for returning.

As mentioned, Disney XD will indeed premier Star vs the Forces of Evil on March 30th @ 8 pm ET/PT, starting with the already seen sneak followed by more new episodes:

“Star vs. The Forces of Evil” premiere night (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) kicks off with an encore presentation of “Star Comes to Earth/Party with a Pony,” followed by a never-before-seen episode.

“Match Maker/School Spirit” – After failing a math test, Star tries to convince her teacher Miss Skullnick to change her grade by helping her with her love life. Then Star, still unfamiliar with the lingo on Earth, misunderstands when she hears that the Echo Creek football team is going to “get slaughtered” and prepares a series of booby traps to protect them.

To go along with the new episodes, Disney XD will be releasing a couple of games inspired by the now official hit animated series.

On Tuesday March 2nd, WATCH Disney XD launches a new game, “Star vs. The Dungeon of Evil,” allowing players to help Star and Marco battle their way out of a dark labyrinth beneath Ludo’s Castle filled with menacing monsters and unexpected enemies. Then on April 2nd, DisneyXD.com/Star-vs-The-Forces-of-Evil launches a new game, “Creature Capture,” allowing players to help Star zap creatures back to the top of her tower.
