“South Park” Gets Season 22 Start Date, Two Comic-Con Attractions

Have no fear, South Park fans! The show is still going strong. Season 22 will premiere on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at 10:00 pm EST.

Comedy Central also announced that two interactive South Park-themed attractions will be opening in San Diego on July 19th as part of Comic-Con.

In Cartman’s Escape Room, fans get to learn firsthand what it’s like to be trapped in one of Cartman’s schemes. Armed with only their wits and their knowledge of the show, up to ten guests at a time must solve South Park-themed puzzles in order to escape Cartman’s clutches. The escape room will kick off at 200 Harbor Drive #12 (at the San Diego Wine Center, right across from the Convention Center) and will be free to the public. Check it out Thursday, July 19th through Saturday, July 21st from 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM, as well as Sunday, July 22nd from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM. This is the first escape room of its kind, but it’s just a sneak peek into an even more elaborate series of South Park attractions that will soon be popping up all over the country.

The second installation at Comic-Con this year is South Park’s Member Berries Challenge. This activation can be found at booth #23729 inside the Convention Center, which will be transformed into a 3D replica of the Marsh residence from the South Park episode “Member Berries.” Sitting in Sharon and Shelly’s seats, fan will try their hand at a South Park trivia competition. Win, and you will be rewarded with eternal glory and a limited-edition Member Berry. Fail to rise to the challenge, however, and Randy’s mouth will erupt with Member Berry juice, spraying all over the losing participants (don’t worry—ponchos and protective glasses are provided for your comfort and safety). This isn’t the only South Park episode that congoers can experience—several other iconic scenes and games will also be available.
