Old School vs New School crossover of ‘The Simpsons’ coming next month on FOX!
For those counting at home, this will be effectively the fourth crossover episode for The Simpsons in 2014. We’ve already had the LEGO episode, and soon we are getting efforts with both Family Guy and Futurama. Now, Entertainment Weekly is reporting that we are getting a flash from the past-esque affair where modern-era Simpsons will clash with the Tracy Ullman era Simpsons.
The clash is set to happen on October 19th on FOX as part of the 2014 edition of the Treehouse of Horror and according to the article the Halloween episode contains a segment that parodiesThe Others, in which the Simpsons are haunted by another ghostly family living in the house. These ghosts turn out to be none other than their crudely drawn former selves.
Typically, the Treehouse of Horror episodes are known for three shorts, and thus far we have confirmed this one, and a spoof of Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange, however we haven’t heard of a third short or even if there is going to be a third one. But, so far, so good…and I can’t wait for The Simpsons to kick of its 26th season on September 28th on FOX.
