Shorts Review: Losing It With John Stamos featuring Michael Ian Black
Spoilers Below
For an episode that began with dialogue about dry humping and Michael’s ambiguous sexual orientation, this actually ended up being the sweetest installment of Losing It thus far. (DAWWWWWWWWWWWW)
Michael’s expectedly awkward story wasn’t hilarious, but it was still funny and had a teenage authenticity to it, as it was recounted with his self-depreciating humor mixed in (For instance, Michael says he was the one that asked, “Is it in?”) and illustrated by male and female Barbie dolls.
Towards the end, Michael added some reflection on the moment and what it meant to him at the time and what it means to him now, which I think a lot of people can relate to. Not something you’d necessarily expect in an episode of Losing It, but it was sincere and genuine.
Despite the laughs being light in this episode, it ended up being an honest interview, with some humorous exchanges courtesy of the chemistry between guest and host.
There, now don’t you feel all warm & fuzzy inside? I know I do, but it might just be that marshmallow I ate that turned out to be a cotton ball.
Hi Ashley, thank you so much for reading and we love the feedback.
