SDCC 2019: Animation Domination ; Comedy Central ; Rick and Morty ; Steven Universe

So much is going on at Comic-Con, and we’ve got it all here.

In what should delight fans from Russia, Aziz Ansari (yes, we’re getting to him soon), USWNT, and this guy, FOX’s revival of Animation Domination has a slew of new posters that you can see below that will be available at the show to go along with all of the killer panels FOX is bringing along.  FOX is also bringing along a killer outside set up featuring ferris wheels and other attractions inspired by each of the animation domination series. It’s called FOX Fan Fair and there’s going to be all sorts of multi-reality experiences, Snapchat filters, free handouts, carnival games, and more. The attractions will run every day at 200 West Island Avenue. Expect to also see a bunch of the Comic-Con MTS railways wrapped in Animation Domination artwork.

 


Comedy Central’s going to be well-represented at San Diego Comic-Con with what might be one of the more underrated panels of the weekend. Crank Yankers will officially be unveiled (info below) and fan experiences inspired by the aforementioned series as well as South Park will be in tow.

The festivities kick-off on Thursday, July 18 at 9:30 a.m. with a no-badge-required, free and open to the public South Park themed 9-Hole-Mini-Golf Course  activation at the San Diego Wine & Culinary Center (200 Harbor Dr. #120) located directly across from the Convention Center, and a Crank Yankers immersive fan experience on Thursday, July 18 inside the Convention Center at Booth #3729. The #1 brand in comedy will also present a Crank Yankers panel on Thursday, July 18 at the Hilton Bayfront in the Indigo Ballroom at 6:45 p.m.

The Crank Yankers panel featuring Executive Producer Jonathan Kimmel, voice talent David Alan Grier, Chelsea Peretti, Bobby Moynihan, Production Designer Gary Kordan and Moderator Brian Posehn to take place on Thursday, July 18 at the Hilton Bayfront in the Indigo Ballroom at 6:45 p.m.

A slew of Rick and Morty merchandise and experiences will be on hand at San Diego Comic Con. For starters, Adult Swim on the Green will play host to some sort of animated experience called the “Rickflector“, plus booths from Oni Press, Entertainment Earth, FYE (with a t-shirt that will feature two new characters), Symbiote, and Cryptozoic will all feature tons of Rick and Morty merch.

While you’re at it, enter into this Rick and Morty contest where you can be drawn into an upcoming episode all for a good cause to help raise money for legit charities. There’s another contest going on with One of Labs where you can bid for a Rick and Morty skateboard that you can enter every day for here.

 


Cast and crew for Steven Universe will be on hand for a panel with a Q&A and Cartoon Network is even lugging along a karaoke booth (Steven Universe booth (#3735) that will feature musical performances. Moderated by self-proclaimed “ruler of the skies” Shelby Rabara (Peridot), join Estelle (Garnet), Michaela Dietz (Amethyst), Deedee Magno Hall (Pearl) and series creator Rebecca Sugar to learn why it’s more important than ever to believe in Steven. They’ll answer your burning questions about “The Battle of Heart and Mind” special, perform a few new songs and present the worldwide debut of the official trailer for Steven Universe The Movie.
