SDCC2018: “Family Guy” Panel Recap

A bunch of clips are included.

Family Guy is still in the midst of it’s metamorphosis to try and capture that magical sauce that the early show had and it’s working. Last season showed definite strides in not just rehashing old gags from the show’s yesteryear, and instead, focus on the future in developing more exciting storylines while keeping the show’s classic sex appeal (you heard me) in tact. According to the cast and crew part of the Family Guy panel that went down at Comic-Con San Diego this past weekend, more changes are coming.

With the recently departed Adam West and Carrie Fisher, Family Guy will do it’s best in replacing the irreplaceable. For starters, Adam West’s name will kick James Woods’ ass off the high school in spirit of the one-time Batman while Peter will be getting new bosses to replace Carrie’s character “Angela” in the form of co-bosses voiced by Niecy Nash and Bryan Cranston. Other guest stars on tap this season include Mandy Moore voicing Quagmire’s (PS, expect a #MeToo updated Quags) daughter along with other notable names like Tara Lipinski, Kyrie Irving(!!!!!), Johnny Weir, Sarah Paulson, Sam Elliot, Patrick Stewart, and probably not James Woods.

Upcoming episodes, as you’ll see in the accompanying clip below, will see Brian getting married in a two-parter, Peter getting ready to fight the biggest chicken of them all in Donald Trump, and a whole lot more starting on September 30th.
