“RWBY” Panel Recap at NYCC 2019
A tsunami of updates to come from RWBY later this year and counting.
With Rooster Teeth’s panel at NYCC, we don’t have just a wave, but a tsunami of updates of what to expect from the show and Rooster Teeth themselves.
This, in a nutshell, is the entire RWBY Panel which is 44 mins long but worth checking out to catch up. The video has interviews with showrunner Kerry Shawcross and actors Miles Luna (Jaune Arc), Lindsay Jones (Ruby Rose), Kara Eberle (Weiss Schnee), Arryn Zech (Blake Belladonna), and Barbara Dunkelman (Yang Xiao Long) as they share what they are most excited to show you in Volume 7. Hint: (Along with their new costume changes)
RWBY fans also got their first look at the trailer for Volume 7 of the animated fantasy show at New York Comic Con, Thursday afternoon.

The panel began with some announcements about RWBY’s licensing partners. This November, Team RWBY will be playable characters in the MOBA game Smite: Battleground of the Gods. There will also be a battle pass, and a Godskin included with the release.
On the book side of things, Shawcross also reveals details about a ton of merch, including another RWBY Manga later on October 22nd, an official companion book from Viz; a new book coming in 2020; comics from DC; a soundtrack; and more. There is a competition for fans to have their art become licensed show art with a Printed RWBY DC Comic with cover art by Jim Lee.

And finally, Shawcross announces that, before Volume 7 is out, the show has been picked up for Volumes 8 and 9, with an emphasis that Volumes 7 & 8 will be strongly connected with Storylines & Story arcs so we the fans are going to have lots of RWBY to look forward to.
