Rumors Abound For “Animals” Season Three On HBO

Animals is currently in production for a third season on HBO set to air in mid-2018, but that doesn’t mean we may not get a taste of new content beforehand.

Rumored to guest voice in the upcoming season include Johnny Knoxville, Jake and Amir, Tom Bergeron, Pauly Shore, Steve Dildarian, and Andy Dick but that may not even be the best part.

Producers Phil Matarese and Mike Luciano are teasing some Animals earlier perhaps in the form of animated shorts or special episodes. Nothing’s been announced yet, but it’d be killer to get some new content earlier than summer so this is great news for fans of the franchise.

Created by Phil Matarese and Mike Luciano and produced by Duplass Brothers Television, Animals. focuses on the downtrodden creatures native to Earth’s least-habitable environment: New York City. Whether it’s lovelorn rats, gender-questioning pigeons or aging bedbugs in the midst of a midlife crisis, the awkward small talk, moral ambiguity and existential woes of non-human urbanites prove startlingly similar to our own.
